Well Known People of Livingston County:

Actress Moira Harris was born in Pontiac. She graduated from Illinois State University and during her time in college she met her husband, actor Gary Sinise. She has starred in Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines, Breakdown and several other films.


Children’s author, Irene Hunt grew up in Pontiac. She was honored with runner-up of the Newbery Medal for the first book she wrote titled, Across Five Aprils.


Skottie Young lived in Fairbury and today is a children’s book illustrator and comic book artist. He is well known for his work with Marvel and L. Frank Oz books.
